Product Information

SENTINEL 747 Adhesive Remover is a powerful, biodegradable formula designed to safely and effectively strip adhesives left behind after removing vinyl tile, sheet vinyl, indoor and outdoor carpeting and wood flooring. 747 is an environmentally-friendly, low-odor product that effectively removes a variety of adhesives without the use of harmful agents.

DIRECTIONS: Always follow product label instructions for best results.

Preparation:

Before beginning work, protect all walls, flooring, carpeting, cracks or wood with an absorbent from liquid materials. This will ensure easier clean-up and eliminate potential problems.

Removal of Vinyl Tile, Wood & Outdoor Carpet Adhesives:

Step 1: Wet the entire surface with 747. This may be done using a sprayer or mopping 747 over the surface of the adhesive. Do not over apply 747 in this first step. Allow the 747 to soak and penetrate for 10-20 minutes to soften the adhesive; for wood and outdoor adhesives, allow to soak for one hour. Scrape the bulk of the softened adhesive from the surface with a floor scraper and place in a disposable container.

Step 2: Reapply 747, this time working with smaller areas (approx. 4' X 4'). Immediately agitate with a short bristled broom or floor scrubber to fully lift and liquefy adhesive residue from the sub floor. For easy clean up, add absorbent to the liquefied adhesive, place in a disposable container and dispose. Follow all local, state and federal regulations when disposing of waste.

Step 3: Wash and rinse the sub floor thoroughly with Sentinel 810 All Surface Floor Cleaner to ensure a clean surface. Allow surface to dry.

Removal of Sheet Vinyl / Linoleum Backing & Indoor Carpet Adhesives:

Coverage: Carpet= 25sq. ft./mixed gallon Sheet Vinyl Backing= 40 sq. ft./mixed gallon Latex Adhesive = 70 sq. ft./ mixed gallon

Step 1: Mix 1 part warm water to 1 part 747 and apply mixture directly onto the adhesive/ backing. Use a broom or mop to agitate and maintain even coverage while keeping the adhesive surface wet. Allow 747 to soak and penetrate for 60 - 90 minutes. Scrape the softened adhesive/ backing from the floor (razor scrapers are generally preferred) and put in a disposable container.

Step 2: Repeat step one if necessary. Add some absorbent to container and dispose. Follow all local, state and federal regulations when disposing of waste.

Step 3: Wash and rinse the sub floor thoroughly with Sentinel 810 All Surface Floor Cleaner to ensure a clean surface. Allow to dry.

Removal of Carpet:

Using a carpet cutter, cut the carpeting in 1'-3' foot strips. Mix 2 parts water to 1 part 747 and pour directly onto carpet to be removed. Completely saturate carpeting with mixture and allow to soak a minimum of 2 hours. Remove carpeting and follow indoor carpeting adhesive removal directions.
