Microfiber Upholstery Cleaning
Microfibers can be made from nylon, olefin, polyester, acrylic, or rayon. These fabrics are designed to look like suede or even leather. A burn test may be necessary to determine if it is a regular synthetic versus a rayon piece. All synthetics will melt while natural/man-made fiber combinations (like rayon) will turn to an ash. Do not use the following instructions for cleaning rayon.
Directions – Regular Synthetics:
- With a pump-up sprayer, spray Matrix Outset Upholstery Prespray undiluted on upholstery.
- Using an extraction machine, clean with Matrix Impression Upholstery Cleaning Concentrate diluted at 1-2 oz per gallon of water.
- With a pump-up sprayer, apply Matrix All Fiber Rinse diluted at 1-2 oz per gallon of water.
- Using extraction machine, extract Matrix All Fiber Rinse from upholstery.
- Groom fabric with a horsehair brush.
- Speed dry with air movers.
Warning: Always test material for colorfastness, follow label directions, and never mix product unless specified in the label directions. Each situation reacts differently and results may vary.
