Fiberlock IAQ 6000HD is a white, tintable, high-build, mold-resistant coating designed to help prevent mold growth from occurring in new building construction.
This specially formulated, water-based coating contains EPA-registered antimicrobials that inhibit the growth of mold on the surface of the cured film.
Fiberlock IAQ 6000HD is designed for use on porous building materials including gypsum wallboard, oriented strand board (OSB), wood framing timbers, plywood, and any other surface where a flexible high-build mold-resistant coating is necessary.
Contains dual EPA-registered, broad-spectrum fungicides to provide maximum protection against mold growth on the coating film.
Tested by independent and certified laboratories to prove resistance to mold growth on the surface of the coating, and has successfully passed both ASTM G-21 and ASTM D-3273 mold resistance testing with the highest scores possible.
Extremely durable 100% acrylic sealant, developed to withstand moist humid conditions that provide the ideal environment for fungal growth.
IAQ 6000HD complies with the requirements for LEED® EQ Credit 4.2, low-emitting materials: paints and coatings.
Apply Fiberlock IAQ 6000 with brush, roller or airless sprayer.
Fiberlock IAQ 6000HD is supplied ready to use, but can be thinned sparingly with water (up to a ½ pint of water per gallon) for proper application consistency if necessary. Apply IAQ 6000HD generously and uniformly by brush or airless spray. Ensure that the finished surface is properly sealed.
To ensure that the finished surface is properly sealed, two-coats may be required on some highly porous surfaces.
Brush: Nylon or polyester synthetic bristle
Roller: Synthetic fiber 3/8”nap or longer
Spray: 0.021 to 0.025 tip (pressure settings from 1,600 - 2,000 PSI)
IAQ 6000HD may be tinted to any off-white or pastel based color. Add up to 2 oz of universal colorant per gallon. Start with 50% of the tinting formula and adjust as necessary.
Clean tools and drippings with warm soapy water before Fiberlock IAQ 6000 dries. Dispose of all waste according to all existing local, state and federal regulations.
Stir thoroughly. Do not mix with any other coatings, solvents or colors in oil. IAQ 6000 is resistant to the deteriorating action of mold and mildew. No claim is made for the preservative action other than the coating film. Do not use as a finish coat or leave unprotected for more than 60 days. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 50°F, when drying conditions are poor or when surfaces are above a 15% moisture level content. Use adequate ventilation during application.
