Fiberlock IAQ 3000 is a high quality interior and exterior block filler formulated to fill small imperfections and pinholes in masonry block and porous concrete before topcoating.
Brick and masonry block are often difficult surfaces to coat due to their porous nature. IAQ 3000 is ideal for prepping these overly porous surfaces to be top coated.
This product contains mineral type fillers and fine silica aggregates which fill voids in masonry surfaces. This 100% acrylic block filler is easy to apply, alkali resistant and provides a uniform surface capable of receiving all types of finish coats.
Fiberlock IAQ 3000 is not water sensitive after application and its flexibility and durability are the best available for a block filler, far superior to cementitious and PVA type formulations.
IAQ 3000 complies with the requirements for LEED® EQ Credit 4.2, low-emitting materials: paints and coatings.
This product is ideal for application to masonry block, concrete, brick and stone. IAQ 3000 is not water sensitive after application and its flexibility and durability are the best available for a block filler, far superior to cementations and PVA type formulations.
Usage
Fiberlock IAQ 3000 is supplied ready-to-use, but can be thinned sparingly with water for proper application consistency if necessary.
Maximum block filling qualities are achieved with use of a roller (3/8" in nap or longer).
Apply Fiberlock IAQ 3000 full bodied, vertically and cross hatched horizontally to remove all roller ridges and unevenness in the block filler.
Brushing should be done with a short stubby brush, working the material well into any pinholes, pores and voids.
Material should be applied in horizontal secions with the block mortar lines serving as a guide.
Spray application is not recommended because the silica content is abrasive to spray equipment.
