Citric Acid Powder can be used to reverse browning on carpets and upholstery. It can also be used to adjust the pH of carpet before dyeing. After application, it drys to a fine white powder that can be easily vacuumed away.
Dilute 8-10 tablespoons per gallon of water.
Mix 8 to 10 tablespoons of concentrated crystals per gallon of water. Spray lightly and allow to dry. Repeat as necessary. pH varies due to level of concentration.
