3M™ LeadCheck™ Swabs provide an easy solution for lead detection. Easy to use, disposable 3M LeadCheck swabs will work on any surface, instantly turning bright pink when lead is present. 3M LeadCheck swabs are odorless, disposable, and non-staining.

3M™ LeadCheck™ Swabs are disposable, convenient and simple to use. Just swab virtually any surface or material including painted wood, metal, plaster or drywall. When lead is detected, 3M™ LeadCheck™ Swabs turn red on contact. The vast majority of test situation results are obtained in less than 30 seconds. Simple to use: just crush, shake and swab. RED MEANS LEAD™! Each kit contains test confirmation cards to verify individual test results. If lead is found, call an EPA certified lead-safe contractor.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requires the amount of lead in paint to be less than 90 parts per million (ppm) and the amount of lead in children's products to be less than 100 ppm. 3M™ LEADCHECK™ SWABS ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO SCREEN FOR LEAD IN PAINT OR IN CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS AT THESE LEVELS. 3M™ LeadCheck™ Swabs can screen to 600 ppm.
