Product Information
Fiberlock IAQ 8500 is a dual-purpose, high performance coating designed to penetrate and reinforce duct liner or duct board insulation materials.
It can also be used to seal unlined duct work to prevent microbial particulate from becoming airborne.
Fiberlock IAQ 8500 is a non-flammable, water-based formulation that forms a flexible membrane in duct liner insulation materials. It is high in viscosity to provide maximum binding ability on insulation materials.
IAQ 8500 is manufactured from premium acrylic resins to allow for optimal durability and flexibility, necessary for air duct environments. It contains an EPA-registered fungicide to prevent mold from growing on the surface of the cured film.
Successfully tested to ASTM standard C- 411 “Hot Surface Performance of a Coating on Glass Fiber Blanket Insulation.” ASTM E-84 Class “A” fire rating. Meets requirements of NFPA 90A/90B standard.
Usage
- Brush, roller or airless sprayer
- Brush:
- Sunthetic, nylon, or polyester bristle
- Roller:
- Synthetic fiber 3/8" nap or longer
- Airless Spray settings:
- Pressure: 2,500 - 3,000 PSI
- Hose length: 50 feet
- Hose diameter: 1/4 inch
- Tip size: 0.019 - 0.023
- Fan size: 12 inches
