Where should I use the Scan Combiflex 330?
The Scan Combiflex 330 is an ultra-durable floor grinder that is ideal for small jobs, tight spaces, and lots of edge work.
With only a 13-inch grinding path, the 330 is the smallest in the Scan Combiflex line, but it delivers terrific results over twice the grinding area of most cup wheel alternatives.
At 143 lbs, the Scan Combiflex 330 gives you excellent head pressure for better, more consistent grinding results. This unit is ideal for light coating removal as well as grinding and polishing of concrete, terrazzo, and natural stone surfaces. This unit can also be used for grinding hardwood floors when equipped with our wood tools and sanding pads.
Although conditions will vary greatly from job to job, most contractors have been pleased to report production rates of around 270 to 430 square feet per hour.
What are the power options?
The Scan Combiflex 330 is available in 110- and 230-volt variable speed configurations.
The 230-volt configuration will work between 208 to 240 volts, giving you flexible power options for fast and easy job setup.
Is it easy to use?
When it comes to using the machine, the controls couldn’t be simpler. Simply press the black button to start the machine, and then press the red “STOP” button to stop it.
As an extra safety precaution, the red button functions as an emergency stop and will remain depressed until the operator turns it slightly clockwise to pop it out.
Once the red button is released, you can press the black button to start the unit once again.
Adjusting the shroud for left- or right-side edgework or center grinding is a breeze too. No tools are required. You can rotate the shroud in a matter of seconds.
Even the handle adjusts easily. You can quickly turn it to the proper angle that lets you comfortably walk in a straight line behind the machine during edge work without having to stop and readjust it every few steps. You get a smooth, straight cut faster and with less work.
The Scan Combiflex 330 also has an easy-to-set axle pitch control that enables it to handle the toughest edge curl situations. Just adjust the knob on the locking system, and you can achieve a perfect grind on even the most uneven floors.
How are you supposed to lean against the handle to steady the machine?
Simple – you don’t!
The Scan Combiflex 330 relies on a direct gear reduction system that delivers more torque to the floor at 750 RPM.
Its unique engineering is highly efficient and keeps the energy and force of the machine directed at the floor, not at the operator’s hip.
There’s no need to fight a bucking machine on a grinding job. You get smooth operation and excellent grinding results with less work!
How many tools can I attach?
The single head system of the Scan Combiflex 330 holds up to 9 tools to increase the quality and speed of your grinding and polishing jobs.
Unlike other systems that require a screwdriver, Allen wrench, and hours of struggle to attach tooling, the Scan Combiflex lets you easily tap on and tap off your tools.
What maintenance will this machine need?
Scanmaskin machines are designed to work, not to be worked on.
This machine requires no special daily maintenance. Simply plug it in, press the start button, and you’re ready to go!
Is it easy to transport?
The Scan Combiflex 330 can be quickly and easily disassembled for transport. Simply release the quick disconnects to separate the grinding head from the handle.
The grinding head features solid steel handles which make it easy to grab and lift the unit into a van, SUV, or even the trunk of a car.
How tough is this machine?
When we describe this machine as durable, we’re not exaggerating.
Unlike other units that feature plastic or fiberglass parts, the Scan Combiflex 330 is made from solid steel – right down to the dust shroud. This unit resists dents, chips, and cracks, ensuring that it far outlasts the competition.
What about dust control?
Dust can be a major issue for other systems when it comes to dry grinding applications, but not for Scanmaskin equipment.
All Scanmaskin floor grinders feature a dust shroud made from solid steel. You won’t find duct tape on a Scan Combiflex unit. Unlike other grinders with shrouds made from plastic or fiberglass, our dust shrouds won’t chip or crack, and they do a far superior job of controlling dust and debris.
Plus, the unit features a dual vacuum port for more efficient dust collection.
The combination of these features makes for virtually dust-free grinding and polishing. The result is a cleaner work area that takes less time to clean up and is safer for the operator and building occupants.
