When it comes to changing out the blades, you won't be wasting time turning screws or fumbling with ring-type fasteners. Simply push the button at the back of the knife and swing it open. Squeeze the knife shut until you hear a "click." Then you'll know it's closed and locked. 

The handle stores up to five replacement blades, which should last a good long while.

The knurled handle provides a texturized grip that helps you hold the knife securely while cutting heavy carpet.
