The D850 Desiccant Dehumidifier from Phoenix delivers a whopping 850 CFM and removes 370 pints per day at AHAM, yet this powerhouse is about the same size and weight as the average XL LGR dehumidifier. With its variable speed blower and true four-hole design, the D850 will supercharge drying performance on every job.


This medium-capacity desiccant dehumidifier is perfect for use on large residential or small to mid-sized commercial jobs. It is ideal for drying dense, low-evaporation materials, such as brick, concrete, hardwoods, and plaster. It performs better in cooler temperatures (below 70°F) than refrigerant dehumidifiers.

The D850 desiccant is sized for 2 ACH (class 2) for up to 25,500 cu ft and up to 3 ACH (class 3 & 4) on 17,000 cu ft.

Two Modes of Operation

An easy-to-use twist dial allows you to select between maximum grain depression (useful when drying low evaporation or dense materials) or maximum water removal (ideal for removing water from the air). This allows you to maximize efficiency on every drying job, so you can dry more faster.

True Four-Hole Design

The D850 features completely separate process and regeneration airstreams for a true four-hole design. This allows for the unit to be configured for positive, neutral, or negative operation, depending on the needs of the affected area.

You can duct the reactivation outlet (225 CFM) outside the affected area or into refrigerant dehumidifier(s) with +350 CFM inlet.

Easy Maneuverability

The D850 features large recessed wheels and two convenient handles, one located at the top of the unit and one at the bottom. This makes it easy to load/unload it from a truck, or haul it up and down stairs.

This unit can be operated both vertically and horizontally, so it can be set up in both large, open areas as well as crawlspaces and other low-clearance areas.

Handy Indicator Lights

The D850 features three indicator lights that alert the contractor to the operational status of the unit. You can know at a glance whether the filter is clogged and is in need of replacement, as well as check the status of the two heaters. These indicator lights are a simple feature that can save you hours in labor and filters, ensuring you won't change a filter too soon or too late.

Convenient Cord Storage

The D850 comes with both a 30-amp and 50-amp 230V grounded twist lock power cord. A hinged door located below the filter safely and neatly stores all cords for the unit. You won't have to fumble with loose cords during storage or transport, or arrive at job only to realize the cords are back at your shop. With everything storing neatly inside the unit, you'll always be prepared and look professional.
