Leather Cleaning Technician (LCT) Class
Overview
The Leather Cleaning Technician course addresses leather identification and cleaning techniques for professional on-location cleaners, restoration and inspection service providers, as well as other related industries. Emphasis shall be placed on theory, practical application, proper identification of leather types, soiling conditions and proper professional solutions to the cleaning challenges faced by the individuals performing the work in the field.
Taught by Steve Poulos who has been teaching leather care for early twenty years along with guest instructor Roger Pisaneschi will be here to train you on the cleaning and care of leather furniture. With nearly one third of furniture sold today being leather, there is a lack of leather care professionals to service the needs.
This IICRC approved two day class covers the history of leather along with the identification of the types of leather for proper care. Leather is the strongest of all
Natural materials used in today’s furniture but lick anything in the indoor environment, must be maintained.
You’ll learn the tanning process and how to identify properly how to maintain it. Clients who own furniture made of leather have a unique attraction to it and prolonging the life and appearance can be a profitable service which is about the most economical add on service you could provide for your growth.
Properly cared for Leather will outlast fabric furniture two to three times. That’s where this course can help you win your customers over. Know what the difference is between a NuBuck, an Aniline and a Pigmented leather.
