Jon-Don Celebrates 35 Years in Business
Jon-Don, a leading distributor of products, equipment, and training for independent contractors and in-house service providers across multiple industries, is celebrating 35 years in business.
Jon-Don was founded in 1978 by John and Nick Paolella. In its early days, the company supplied chemicals, accessories, and equipment primarily to professional carpet cleaners. In later years, Jon-Don became the preferred supplier for disaster recovery/restoration contractors and janitorial/building service contractors.
Today, the company has expanded to accommodate tens of thousands of service providers in many more industries, including concrete polishing and epoxy coatings, air transportation, and lead and asbestos abatement.
Over the years, the company has been guided by a philosophy called “Partners for Success.” John Paolella explained, “Our success has always been tied to the success of our customers, employees, and vendors. We work to understand their goals and objectives and then develop a plan to assist them. From day one, Nick and I have always believed that when the people we do business with are successful, Jon-Don is successful too.”
This philosophy has served the company quite well. Through good economic times and bad, Jon-Don has grown and expanded, never once experiencing a layoff. New locations have been opened and existing facilities have expanded to introduce a wider variety of products, enhance shipping times (most customers receive their order in just 1-2 business days), and improve customer service.
John and Nick attribute the success of the company to their outstanding staff, many of whom have been with the company for a decade or more.
Dave Howard, National Director of Marketing, has been with the company for over 20 years. “My career is important to me, and I wanted to work for an organization that had great leadership and a strong entrepreneurial spirit from the front lines to the owners.
