Potting Soil Removal from Carpet

How to Remove Plant Soil from Carpet

Soil, plant food, and water can seep under potted plants and soil carpet. Plant fertilizer will permanently dye the carpet and cannot be removed without spot dying or using carpet repair techniques.

  1. Potting soil may be dry. First vacuum as much dry soil as possible.
  2. Apply Matrix Release undiluted. Work in with a bone spatula. Tamp and blot with a spotting brush and spotting towel.
  3. Apply Matrix Target Tannin Stain Remover undiluted. Work in with a bone spatula. Tamp and blot with a spotting brush and spotting towel.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Warning and Cautions: Always test material for colorfastness, follow label directions, and never mix product unless specified in the label directions. Each situation reacts differently and results may vary.
