Although HydraMaster is known today for manufacturing some of the best cleaning equipment in the industry, the multimillion dollar corporation actually has very humble beginnings. About 37 years ago, it all began in a garage.

Michael C. Palmer, a carpet cleaner who also had experience as a jet engine mechanic in the military, had seen a crude, homemade truck mount built by a fellow cleaner. Convinced he could improve upon the design, Michael built his own machine. It was so effective that a friend asked if he would make another for his business. Soon more requests were made and thus HydraMaster was born.
Truck mount technology changed carpet cleaning forever. Cleaners now had the heat they needed to do heavily soiled carpets. Large recovery tanks alleviated the necessity for continual dumping of wastewater associated with smaller portable units. The high pressures and positive vacuum made the truck-mounted carpet cleaning systems an instant success.
In the early 80s, Mike and HydraMaster again revolutionized the carpet cleaning industry with a new cleaning process called “rotary extraction.” The RX-20, a combination of shampoo machine and extractor, blended rotary agitation with extraction. This new tool dramatically reduced the amount of time and effort required to clean carpets. When paired with a truck mount, the RX-20 cleaned better than any other method, technique, or process. |

Hydramaster Truck Mounts
Today, HydraMaster offers carpet cleaners four different series of truck mounts: CDS, Maxx, Titan, and Boxxer. The CDS line of truck mounts is designed to provide a powerful, reliable leaning system that uses the power and heat source already provided by the host vehicle. The rugged and reliable engineering that has, for over twenty years, made the CDS the most popular van-powered system in the industry.
The Maxx series truck mounts uses an exclusive new heat system technology that controls temperature without dumping hot water into the waste tank. Capable of producing temperatures up to 250°F and consistently maintaining a temperature of 230°F, the Maxx is known as the “king” of high-performance truck mounts.
The Titan is an extreme performance truck mount featuring an internal combustion engine that provides the power necessary to run both a vacuum pump and a high pressure water pump simultaneously. The Titan is capable of producing up to 3,000 PSI, so it can also take on pressure washing jobs, too.
The Boxxer series of truck mounts represents a combination of efficient performance with economical costs. Compact and powerful, the Boxxer truck mounts were engineered to deliver big-machine performance in a much more affordable package. The superior performance of these truck mounts has made the Boxxer series the top-selling truck mount in the industry for the last few years.
